Radiant ceiling panels enable energy savings of up to 70 % per year, depending on the heating system, heat carrier and area of application.

Despite higher investment costs, an amortisation period of around 2.5 years is achieved for sports halls and around 9 years for logistics and production halls.

Over a period of 15 years, radiant ceiling panels can save up to 60 % of total operating costs compared to other heating solutions.

The higher energy efficiency and lower energy consumption reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 76 % per year and therefore enable sustainable, environmentally friendly operation.

Radiant ceiling panels work according to the sun's radiation principle to directly heat surfaces and objects in the room. The radiant heat is distributed evenly and ensures a pleasant and efficient temperature.
There are many heating solutions for large halls on the market. But which is the best option? As a recent study by Tribu Energie shows, considerable energy and cost savings can be achieved by choosing the right heat emitter - even if the heat generator remains unchanged. For example, switching from water unit heaters to radiant ceiling panels can reduce energy consumption by up to 30 %, even though the same gas boiler can still be used. In combination with heat pumps, savings of up to 70 % are possible.

The study was carried out in 2024 by Tribu Energie, a renowned French building planner. Using dynamic simulation an energy and economic comparison of five heating systems was created.
As part of the study, various building types were simulated, both as new builds and renovations, with the use of five heating systems. In order to ensure a well-founded analysis, various construction parameters and cost factors as well as the two climate zones, moderate (Paris) and mediterranean (Marseille), were taken into account. The aim of the study is to calculate the energy consumption, CO₂ emissions and total cost of ownership or profitability for each of the five heating systems.
Radiant ceiling panels are the clear winner of the study and enable energy savings of up to 70 % compared to other systems. For reasons of relevance, we are focussing on large halls in the moderate climate zone.
