The production hall: Machines, workers and products or things that will become products. The hall climate must be right for each of these aspects. A machine often needs a lot of space, workers don't want it too hot or too cold and materials also need to be at the right temperature for further processing. Which heating and cooling solution can provide this?
In addition, production halls and the industrial sector are often associated with a high environmental impact. This should not be and also is not always the case. An energy-efficient heating and cooling system can contribute to a sustainable operation and image.

Findings of the study
The heating system of radiant ceiling panels with heat pumps reduces energy consumption by up to 59 % compared to other systems. When using gas as an energy source, radiant ceiling panels with a gas boiler are the most efficient solution. Compared to a water unit heater, the use of radiant ceiling panels as heat emitters saves 22 % energy.
Findings of the study
Radiant ceiling panels with heat pumps have the highest investment costs. In contrast, gas unit heaters have the lowest initial investment. In just under 8 years, the lower variable costs of radiant ceiling panels with heat pumps have amortised the higher investment compared to gas unit heaters. After a service life of 15 years, radiant ceiling panels with heat pumps save up to 59 % of the costs of other heating systems. Radiant ceiling panels with gas boilers save costs of up to 49 %.
Findings of the study
Compared to the other systems, radiant ceiling panels and heat pumps can reduce CO2-emissions by up to 72 %. In second place are radiant ceiling panels with gas boilers, which enable savings of up to 32 %.
