Thanks to radiant heat, the Zehnder ZIP ceiling radiant panel heats people and objects in the room directly, rather than the air.
This means: pleasant warmth without draughts and an air temperature that feels 3 °C lower than it actually is – for greater comfort and lower energy costs. Even when cooling, the air temperature remains unchanged, whilst the heat is effectively absorbed.
The Zehnder ZIP radiant ceiling panel can be used regardless of the energy source and, when operated with heat pumps, saves up to 40% energy compared to conventional air heaters.

Weighing just 14.3 kg/m² and with a standard width of 320 mm, the Zehnder ZIP radiant ceiling panel is specifically designed for retrofitting in existing buildings. Roofs with low load-bearing capacities are no obstacle – thanks to multi-suspension axes, the Zehnder ZIP radiant ceiling panel can be installed with significantly fewer mounting points than conventional systems. Integration into existing infrastructure, such as lighting or sprinkler systems, is straightforward.
Zehnder radiant ceiling panels are fully galvanised and therefore offer optimum protection against corrosion – even in conditions of high humidity and temperature fluctuations. This ensures a long service life and reliable operation in demanding environments.

Thanks to the factory-fitted insulation, a consistently high heating output is guaranteed. On cold days, the desired radiant heat is directed specifically towards the floor, where the hall’s users are located. This creates a pleasantly warm indoor climate with minimal energy loss
The heating load of the room is calculated in accordance with the applicable standard. If the air change rate in a room exceeds the standard level of natural ventilation (max. 1 per hour), particularly in the case of extraction systems, the replacement air must be preheated. Radiant heaters alone cannot prevent cold air ingress at doors or in loading areas. In such cases, measures such as strip curtains, air curtains or similar must be employed.
