Window Ventilation

At this level, ventilation is provided exclusively via background ventilators in the window frames. This means the air quality is often substandard, comfort is average and energy costs are high. However, there are no extra costs, because no additional purchases or maintenance are necessary.

Mechanical Extract Ventilation

This level is identical to Level 0, except there are one or several extraction fans extracting air from any bathrooms or kitchens. The air quality is better, but comfort is still average and energy costs are still high. Maintenance is minimal, and the lifetime of the system is long.

Decentralised Ventilation

A ventilation unit is installed in the exterior wall of the room, which supplies fresh air. This significantly improves air quality and changes comfort levels from average to good. Additionally, energy costs are lower due to the balanced ventilation.

Overflow Technology

This is the convenient way to achieve balanced ventilation during an expert renovation. The mechanical ventilation box is replaced with a domestic heat recovery unit in the attic. New air supply ducts bring fresh air to the first floor.

Overflow vents move that air down to the ground floor. This comes with few required modifications, a lower energy bill, high comfort levels and healthier air in the house.

Balanced Ventilation with Heat Recovery

The heat recovery unit constantly supplies fresh air and extracts contaminated air. This keeps the air healthy and comfort levels high without using much energy. As every room has its own supply and extraction ducts, this requires greater investment than Overflow Technology (Level 3).

However, if you look at how this system benefits, health, comfort and energy use, a balanced ventilation with heat recovery is a sustainable investment.

Complete Indoor Climate System

This level adds climate modules to the balanced ventilation with heat recovery (Level 4). These modules allows you to ventilate, cool and heat all with one system. This smart system uses thermal recovery, switching between hot and cold automatically at optimal times. This makes it extremely energy-efficient and the perfect answer to overheating. It’s a great solution to our ever-warmer summers.
