The Zehnder ComfoConnect KNX C connects the Zehnder ventilation unit to the building management system via the KNX protocol.
At present, Zehnder ComfoConnect KNX C can only be used for the Zehnder ComfoAir Q ventilation unit.
The Zehnder ComfoConnect PRO is the link between Zehnder devices and smart home solutions.
It regulates the data exchange between the zehndeer Comfonet interfaces and various networking options.
Within the local network of a home, the ventilation unit can be set and controlled via an app on a smartphone or tablet.
The ventilation unit is integrated into the router of the local network via a LAN or Wi-Fi connection.
The communication protocols regulate the exchange between the devices (via cloud, internet or home automation).
Registered ventilation units within the Zehnder Cloud can be conveniently controlled and monitored via the Internet. In addition, various information can be viewed in the dashboard and settings can be adjusted.
Zehnder products can already be integrated with some manuafactors of home automation / building management systems.
The following Zehnder ventilation units can be connected using the most common protocols*:

Several interfaces are already installed as standard on the air handling units Zehnder Silvertop and Zehnder Carma devices. This means that the two ventilation units for large air volumes can be easily integrated into the home automation system.
They have connections for the following communication protocols: Modbus in RS485 or TCP/IP, BACnet IP and WEB TCP/IP.
The Zehnder ComfoConnect KNX C is used exclusively for combining the Zehnder ComfoAir Q ventilation unit and the KNX building management system. The Zehnder ComfoConnect PRO device is a Modbus and Internet interface that has more options (apart from KNX).
Building management system is the umbrella term for various communication protocols with which devices can interact. Smart home is a subdivision of this, which is often associated with the control by the resident of several devices in the house via an app / touch screen.
Yes. One interface per Zehnder ventilation unit is always required, regardless of whether it is Zehnder ComfoConnect PRO or Zehnder ComfoConnect KNX C.
Yes, we have listed two well-known manufacturers here. Other manufacturers are possible, it depends specifically on the required protocol (e.g., Modbus RTU).
Yes. The Zehnder ComfoConnect PRO and ComfoConnect LAN C interface can be used to connect the ventilation unit to the router via a LAN connection and therefore to the app via the Internet. The ventilation unit can be controlled remotely via an app.
